Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
Deut 31:6.
On 11 September 2010, we had lost a great man of God, our Apostle Benjamin Okorie. However, I believe that God has a greater plans for us, plans to prosper us, not to harm us. And I also believe that He's above all things and nothing is too hard for Him. Therefore, my fellow brothers and sisters don't be dismayed.
As we musicians of SPIC, we should be strong and take courage in our future undertakings of this ministry. Like what Apostle Ben said, Praise & Worship in SPIC is one of the main component of the church. And all of us musicians in this P&W were personally appointed by our apostle. Although the rest of Apostle Ben is a great lost to us, but we should take joy that he's enjoying with Jesus Christ in the heavenlies. Hence, lets unite together and give our best Praise&Worship to our King and also continue our apostle's vision and dreams for SPIC.
I know its a hard time for us as his dear ones, but for the sake of God, SPIC and Pastor Mona Okorie, we have to stay put together and move on.
Let me leave you with these verses, be blessed.
Romans 8:28 - 39
28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. 29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." 37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Our spiritual father and mentor,
You'll always be in our hearts
Never will we forget your love for us
And we will continue your dreams and visions for us, SPIC
I know, God is setting us up for a greater miracle, greater testimony, greater good reports at times like this.
As team members of SPIC Praise&Worship, let's continue to pray, move forward and continue his legacy.
Love,
Joshua Chieng
